RV Safety Issues

Your website stated that you wanted input concerning RV safety issues. I have two safety issues:

1. The lack of sufficient fire extinguishers in motor homes. There should be at least two on all motor homes - one inside and one in an outside bay near the motor. Most motor homes have only one, and it is entirely too small to be of much use.

2. On many diesel motor homes, the ignition key is directly in front of the driver's right knee. In the event of an accident, the driver's knee would be forced against the back of the key, causing serious injury. This was documented in automobiles over 30 years ago, resulting in the placement of the ignition key on the automobile steering column. It seem like we have to reinvent the wheel all over again. Motor homes have huge dash boards with plenty of room to place the ignition key almost anywhere. Why manufacturers choose to place it where it could cause injury is beyond me.
