New Horizons Builds a Five-Star
If you think the Avion or the Royals International are luxurious 21st-century homes on wheels, then you'll probably find the New Horizons Five-Star trailers more like practical, sturdy, and wonderfully-designed mountain retreats built with 18th-century craftsmanship.
In May of 2001, our staff visited Horizons' Junction City, Kansas factory where the new Five-Star trailer line is being built. While there, we had an opportunity to observe the company's philosophy in action. That philosophy can be summed up in three words: pride in perfection. Horizons is aware that their success with the Five-Star will depend upon maintaining the same quality that they have consistently produced in the custom-designed New Horizons trailers over the last 11 years. According to Horizons' management, the best possible materials and workmanship must take precedence over time and cost in the design and construction of the Five-Stars.
A finished Five-Star is fully equipped and ready to go at approximately 20% below the price of comparably-outfitted custom-built New Horizons. Unlike the custom-built models, little waiting time for delivery is required for the Five-Stars. Because Horizons is a factory-direct builder, the absence of a middle man allows the buyer to reap a big dollar savings and enables Horizons to use every consumer dollar in the manufacture of a finely-crafted trailer. From our perspective, if your demands are short on glitter and long on quality, the Five-Star is worth a special trip to Kansas.
