How We Rate RVs
CURB WEIGHT
The curb weight is the amount the RV should weigh when ready to travel before people and personal supplies are loaded. Curb weight includes all propane, full freshwater tanks, batteries, and optional equipment added to the RV by the manufacturer and dealer. It is important to understand, however, that it all begins with the dry weight of the vehicle with standard equipment or the unloaded vehicle weight (UVW) as provided by the manufacturer. If there is any question about weight or payload, you will need to weigh the RV to be sure the curb weight allows for sufficient payload.
