Recalls: Forest River (Coachmen) / Lance Camper Mfg

The following Brands has been posted as Recalls during July 2017 by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration:

 

• Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2014-2015 Coachmen RV Encounter recreational vehicles, and 2014-2018 Coachmen RV Mirada and Mirada Select recreational vehicles equipped with the residential refrigerator option instead of the standard refrigerator. The unused, but powered, wiring for the standard refrigerator was left with exposed wire ends.

  Remedy

  Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will disconnect the positive and negative wires from the battery, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on August 21, 2017. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-8212. Forest River's number for this recall is 310-06212017-0455.

• Lance Camper Manufacturing. Corp. (Lance Camper) is recalling 42 2018 Lance Travel Trailers equipped with adjustable utility receivers sold as optional or aftermarket equipment. The receivers may have insufficient welds and, as a result, things connected to the receiver such as a bicycle rack may not be properly positioned.

  Remedy

  Lance Camper has notified owners, and the owners will be refunded for their purchase once the receiver is returned. As an option, customers may instead get a bike rack that goes on the front of the travel trailer, free of charge. The recall began on May 26, 2017.
